We would like to invite you to the biggest karate tournament in Europe - INTERNATIONAL CUP FOR EUROPEAN KARATE CLUBS / IPPON CUP 2024, which will take place on 8th of December in Vilnius, Lithuania in the second largest arena in Lithuania - TWINSBET Arena.
This tournament is open to all competitors from all European countries and for invited clubs from other World countries.
Wee hope to see professional adult athletes and seniors +40.

R E G U L A T I O N S 

I. GENERAL INFORMATION AND PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE 

1.1. Date: 2024-12-08 

1.2. Venue: „TWINSBET Arena “, Ozo g. 14, Vilnius 

1.3. Preliminary schedule: 

8.30-10.00 Weight and medical control. 

9:30-10.00 Referees meeting. 

10:00-10.15 Official Opening Ceremony 

10.15-14.00 Fights for U8; U9; U10; U11; U12 categories. 

14.00-18.00 Fights for U13; U14; U16; U18; +18; +40 categories. 

18.00 The end of the competition. 

PS: The schedule and distribution according to the tatami will be specified 2-3 days 

before the competition. 

II. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION 

2.1. Registration will be stopped after 2000 participants. Participants from 10 KYU 

2.2. U7 (born 2017.) age group: A and B combined 

Boys weight categories: -20; -25; -30; -35; +35 kg. 

Girls weight categories: -20; -25; -30; +30 kg. 

2.3. U8 (born 2016.) age group: A and B 

Boys weight categories: -20; -25; -30; -35; -40; +40 kg. 

Girls weight categories:-20; - 25; -30; -35; +35 kg. 

2.4. U9 (born 2015.) age group: A and B 

Boys weight categories: -25; -30; -35; -40; -45; +45 kg. 

Girls weight categories: -25; -30; -35; -40; +40 kg. 

2.5. U10 (born 2014.) age group: A and B 

Boys weight categories: -25; -30; -35; -40; -45; -50; +50 kg. 

Girls weight categories: -25; -30; -35; -40; -45; +45 kg. 

2.6. U11 (born 2013.) age group: A and B 

Boys weight categories: -30; -35; -40; -45; -50; -55; -60; -65; +65 kg. 

Girls weight categories: -35; - 40; -45; -50; -55; -60; +60 kg. 

2.7. U12 (born 2012.) age group: A and B. 

Boys weight categories: -30; -35; -40; -45; -50; -55; -60; -65; +65 kg. 

Girls weight categories: (-35, - 40, -45, -50, -55, -60, +60) kg 

2.8. U13 (born 2011.) age group: A and B 

Boys weight categories: -40; -45; -50; -55; -60; -65; -70; -75; +75 kg. 

Girls weight categories-45; -50; -55; -60; +65 kg. 

2.9. U14 (born 2010) age group: A and B 

Boys weight categories: -40; -45; -50; -55; -60; -65; -70; -75; +75 kg. 

Girls weight categories: -45; -50; -55; -60; -65; +65 kg. 

2.10. U16 (born 2008-2009.) age group: A and B comb. 

Boys weight categories: -50; -55; -60; -65; -70; -75; +75 kg.

2.11. JUNIORS (born 2006-2007) age group: A and B combined. 

Boys weight categories: -60; -65; -70; -75; -80; +80 kg. 

Girls weight categories: -55; -60; -65; +65 kg. 

2.12. ADULTS (2005 and older) from 6 KYU 

Men’s weight categories: -70; -80; -90 +90 kg. 

Women's weight categories: -55; -60; -65; +65 kg. 

2.13. SENIORS (40+ years) from 6 KYU 

Men’s weight categories: -80; +80 kg. 

Women's weight categories: -60; +60 kg. 

2.14. Draws will be announced: http://app.kumitetechnology.com. 

Competition organizing committee has the right to adjust published categories after 

registration. 

2.15. Categories: 

A Category: 6 kyu and higher belts 

B Category: 10-7 kyu 

Born in 2005 those turn 18 on the day of the competition can participate in the 

adult category 

III. COMPETITION RULES 

3.1. U7 - U16 

3.1.1. A category. ALLOWED: All hits to the hull, kicks to the legs. Kicks to the head with 

control. EKO U16 rules + kicks to the legs. 

3.1.2. B category. NOT ALLOWED: kicks to the legs, but knee strikes to the body are 

allowed. Kicks to the head with control. EKO U16 rules. 

3.1.3. Protection: White hands, legs protection, groin protection, protective body vests (only 

organizers), white helmets (with plastic grill or protective glass), knee protection until 

U12 are recommended, from U13 necessary. 

3.1.4. Time: U7-U12 – 1,5min +1min; U13-U16 - 1,5 min + 1,5 min 

3.2. Juniors 

3.2.1 ALLOWED: All hits to the hull, kicks to the legs. Kicks to the head with control. EKO 

U18 rules. 

3.2.2. Protection: white legs protection, knee protection, groin protection, teeth 

protection (recommended) 

3.2.3. Time: 2min. +2 min.+ 2min. 

3.3 Adults 

3.3.1 Full contact. According to EKO adult rules 

3.3.2 Protection: Groin protection, teeth protection (recommended) 

3.3.3. Time: 2min. +2 min.+ 2min. 

3.3. Seniors 

3.4.1 Full contact. According to EKO adult rules. 

3.4.2 Protection: Legs protection, groin protection, teeth protection (recommended) 

3.4.3 Time: 2min. +2 min.+ 2min.

IV. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS 

4.1. Accommodation, tickets, transportation and meals for all participants shall be 

covered individually or by club. 

4.2. Awards: all participants will be awarded with special medals. Winners will be 

awarded with special medals, certificates, and cups. 

4.3. Participation fee: 35 EUR 

4.4. Tickets for spectators: will be distributed online www.bilietai.lt (information will be 

posted after 2024-09-10) 

V. REGISTRATION 

5.1. Register participants in the app.kumitetechnology.com system by 2024-11-20. 

5.2. Referees registration in the attached file. 

5.3. December 7 the draw for the competition will be announced, athletes who do 

not notify in advance of non- participation will not be removed from the 

competition and will be considered non-participators. 

VI. PARTICIPATION REQUIRMENTS 

6.1. Completed application including doctor’s visas. 

6.2. A written approval from legal guardian for all minors (under 18 years old at 

time of event) 

6.3. An athlete who does not have doctor’s permission or the consent of parents (guardians) 

to participate in the competition will be disqualified. If on the day of the competition the 

weight of athlete (with kimono, legs protection) exceeds the category norm of 2kg, the athlete 

will also be disqualified. A club whose athlete is disqualified is fined 30 Euros.
