2026 EKO Selection Tournament for Adult Women Open Weight

On behalf of European Karate Organization and Organizing Committee, we have the honour to invite you to the:

EKO Selection Tournament for Adult Women Open Weight

December 5, 2026 , Poland

“Hala Sportowa” Staffa str. 3/5, Warsaw, 01-891 Poland 

1. Category and number of participants

 Adults Women Open Weight:

Competitors must be at least 18 years old on the day of the competition

Participation limits:

 Maximum 2 participants per country in category per country.

 The organizing country is entitled to one additional participant.

 All medalists from previous European and World Championships are additionally eligible to participate in this tournament

 The top eight (8) competitors from the European Karate Championship 2026 in Riga are not eligible to participate in this selection tournament.

Selection: A total of four (4) competitors will qualify through this tournament. Additional reserve competitors will also be selected.

2. Preliminary schedule:

04.12.2026 (Friday) - arrival of participants, officials and country delegations

16:00–19:00 – Weight and medical control

16:00–18:00 – Referees registration and meeting

18:30 – 19:30 – Coaches registration and meeting

19:30 – Draws

05.12.2026 (Saturday) - „Hal Sportowa“

10:00 – Women’s Selection Tournament – on one tatami

13:00 – End of the Tournament

06.12.2026 (Sunday) - check-out and departure.

3. Financial conditions:

EKO participation fee

The applicable participation fees must be paid directly to the European Karate Organization (EKO)

by bank transfer:

- 80 € per participant

- 40 € per coach;

All EKO participation fees must be paid by November 22, 2026.

Other Expenses

Accommodation, flight tickets, transportation and meal for all participants shall be covered by the

participating Country Organization, Club, or participants themselves.

Payment for the Accommodation must be made separately to the Organizing Committee’s bank account

according to the information provided below.

4. Conditions for participation:

During registration and medical control, all competitors must present the follow documents and equipment::

 Medical certificate in English, issued no earlier than three (3) months before the competition;

 Declaration of Participation in the Tournament; 

 EKO Health Information Form ;

 Proof of age (ID card or passport);

 EKO Passport;

 All required protective equipment and karate gi jacket for attaching the competitor number.

All tournament formalities, including weight and medical control, referee and coach registration and meetings, as well as the draws, will take place at Hotel Ibis Stare Miasto .
