OPEN CUP MONTANA 2026

5th International Open Tournament

Sports Karate Club Montana is honored to invite athletes, coaches, referees, officials, and guests to OPEN CUP MONTANA 2026 — the 5th International Open Tournament, organized on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Sports Karate Club Montana.

The event will bring together competitors from different countries in the spirit of Kyokushin karate, discipline, respect, and strong international friendship.

The competition will be conducted under the rules of Global Karate Kyokushin Budokai and will take place on 25–26 September 2026 at Arena Varshets, Varshets, Bulgaria.

Boys, Junior Boys and Men

Boys U12 (10–11 years): -30 kg, -35 kg, -40 kg, -45 kg, +45 kg

Junior Boys U14 (12–13 years): -35 kg, -40 kg, -45 kg, -50 kg, +50 kg

Junior Boys U16 (14–15 years): -40 kg, -45 kg, -50 kg, -55 kg, -60 kg, +60 kg

Junior Boys U18 (16–17 years): -55 kg, -60 kg, -65 kg, -70 kg, +70 kg

Men (18+ years): -70 kg, -80 kg, +80 kg

Girls, Junior Girls and Women

Girls U12 (10–11 years): -25 kg, -30 kg, -35 kg, -40 kg, +40 kg

Junior Girls U14 (12–13 years): -30 kg, -35 kg, -40 kg, -45 kg, -50 kg, +50 kg

Junior Girls U16 (14–15 years): -40 kg, -45 kg, -50 kg, -55 kg, +55 kg

Junior Girls U18 (16–17 years): -55 kg, -60 kg, -65 kg, +65 kg

Mandatory Protective Equipment

All competitors must provide and wear the required protective equipment according to their age and category.

• Groin protector — mandatory for boys, junior boys, senior junior boys, and men;
• Chest protector — mandatory for girls, junior girls, senior junior girls, and women;
• Gloves — mandatory for children, junior boys, junior girls, senior junior boys, and senior junior girls;
• Helmet without face grill — mandatory for children, junior boys, junior girls, senior junior boys, and senior junior girls;
• Shin and foot protectors — mandatory for children, junior boys, junior girls, senior junior boys, and senior junior girls;
• Body protector — mandatory for children up to 10 years of age.
