- Introduction:
- The 2nd World KyokushinRyu Tournament in the disciplines of "KUMITE and KATA" among children, youth, juniors, girls, men, and veterans (hereinafter referred to as the World Tournament) is being held by the Qazaq National Alliance KyokushinRyu Public Organization. The aim is to further develop and popularize Kyokushin-Ryu Karate as a sport and traditional martial art throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan.

- Very important! Compliance with ethical and moral standards of conduct at the II World KyokushinRyu Tournament for everyone without exception: Be it a participant-athlete, coach of an athlete participant or a parent or official representative of a participant-athlete or participant-coach.
- For those who fail to adhere to all rules of conduct and ethical and moral standards at the tournament, the Tournament Organizing Committee reserves the right to independently disqualify all such individuals from further participation in the tournament, if they violate the permissible ethical and moral standards as guests and participants of the tournament. If the above-mentioned individuals fail to comply with all rules of conduct, the entire team will be disqualified, without exception, regardless of the stage of the 2nd World KyokushinRyu Tournament at which the incident occurred or the current round of the tournament.
- 1. Name of the sporting event.
- The 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament will feature KUMITE and KATA disciplines among children, youth, juniors, girls, men, and veterans.
- 2. Objectives and Tasks:
- 1. To promote a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and other participating countries;
- 3. To develop high moral and physical qualities in athletes from the Republic of Kazakhstan and other countries;
- 4. To popularize KyokushinRyu among children, youth, and adults in the Republic of Kazakhstan and other participating countries;
- 5. To improve the athletic skills of athletes, referees, coaches, and technical staff developing martial arts in the Republic of Kazakhstan and other participating countries;
- 3. Venue and Time of the Sporting Competition:
- 1. The 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament will be held on May 30-31, 2026, at the following address: Turan, 4/2 (Beeline Arena)
- 2. The control weigh-in (registration) of athletes participating in the 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament will be held on May 29, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the following address: 4/2 Turan Street, Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan (Beeline Arena).
- 3. The judges' seminar for the 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament will be held on May 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the following address: 4/2 Turan Street, Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan (Beeline Arena).
- 4. The official accommodation for guests of the 2nd Kyokushin-Ryu World Tournament is the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel, located at the following address: 8a Saryarka Avenue, Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
- 4. Please bring the following to the weigh-in:
- - Team leaders must submit a joint application at the weigh-in. Teams, and all participants must present the following documents:
- 1) Original birth certificate (ID card or international passport);
- 2) Documents confirming athletic and style qualifications;
- 3) Insurance policy or insurance;
- 4) Sports doctor's approval for participation in the tournament;
- 5) For athletes under 18 years of age and older, a parental statement addressed to the head judge of the competition (Appendix No. 1);
- 6) For athletes aged 18 and over, a statement addressed to the head judge of the competition (Appendix No. 2).
- Important! Without the above documents, athletes will not be allowed to participate in the 2nd World KyokushinRyu Tournament.
1. Participants in the 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament must have:
- A clean white dogi (kimono);
- A belt of their qualification;
- A groin guard (for both boys and girls) of the established style, worn only under the kimono - MANDATORY;
- Hand guards of the established style (cloth only), leather gloves (Ichi-geki - PROHIBITED);
- Leg protectors of the established style (cloth) without plastic inserts;
- Girls, without exception, must wear a chest protector (with an open stomach - MANDATORY);
- All participants aged 6-13, 14-17, 18+, and 35+ must wear a HELMET with a visor - MANDATORY.
- All equipment must be presented by each athlete (without exception) at registration.
- If they are missing, the athlete will NOT be allowed to participate.
- The use of tape, plasters, and bandages is permitted only with the doctor's permission in the event of injury during the competition.
1. Judges of the 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament must have:
Judge shirts (blue), a yellow bow tie for the side referees, a white bow tie for the tatami referee, and black trousers.
- Each team provides two (2) judges.
*If a subgroup of participants is incomplete (less than four people per category), the weight category will be combined into a single subgroup by agreement with all parties. The final age and weight categories will be formed once all final applications have been submitted.
Awarding Procedure for Champions and Prize Winners of the Sporting Competition:
Winners and prize winners of the 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament will be determined in each age and weight category using the Olympic system, with elimination following a defeat. There will be no bouts for 3rd (third) place. Champions and runners-up of the 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament will be determined separately in each age and weight category and will be awarded:
1st Place – cup, medal, and diploma.
2nd Place – cup, medal, and diploma.
Two 3rd Places – cup, medal, and diploma.
*Athletes, teams, gyms, clubs, and organizations that have received these Regulations and confirmed their desire to participate, having agreed with the Organizing Committee, are eligible to participate in the 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament. If a team is admitted to the 2nd KyokushinRyu World Tournament, the number of athletes participating is unlimited.
Protests against a decision and review of a decision:
1. Athletes do not have the right to personally challenge the judges' decisions. 2. Only a team coach may appeal a decision through the Chief Judge of the court when a decision made by a Referee or Judge is deemed to have violated the Competition Rules or the Judging Rules. However, coaches may not interrupt the judges' table to check the list of participants and other documents, ask for explanations, etc. (In the event of unethical behavior by participants during the competition, disciplinary sanctions will be applied. Specifically, if a participant displays inappropriate behavior, uses offensive language or actions toward the judge, officials, and/or other participants, they will be disqualified for the remainder of the competition.)

1. Applications for participation in the 2nd World KyokushinRyu Tournament are accepted for all karate styles (Strictly with an IKAK BRANCH visa from the country representing the team).
3.1 Preliminary applications must be submitted by May 12, 2026.
3.2 Final applications must be submitted by May 15, 2026.
3.3 Official applications must be submitted for the weigh-in on May 29, 2026.
