European Kudo Championship 2026

1. Participation

• Each country or region may enter 1 team and up to 2 competitors per category. The host country (Bulgaria) may enter up to 4 competitors per category.
• Only athletes registered through a KIF-recognized National Federation and in the KMS system are eligible to participate.
• Branch Chiefs are responsible for ensuring that all membership registrations, affiliation fees, renewals, and Dan/Kyu grading fees have been completed before submitting entries.
• Each competitor must present:a Medical Certificate issued within 30 days before the competition, confirming they are fit to compete;
  valid Life/Accident Insurance covering the competition period.
  

2. Competition

The European Kudo Championship will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, at Sports Hall "Sofia".

Competitions will be held in the following individual divisions:

• Men – 6 categories
• Female – 2 categories
• U-18 Men – 7 categories
• U-18 Female – 2 categories
• Veterans (45–55 years)

Age divisions:

• U-18: competitors born in 2008–2009
• Adults: competitors born in 2007 or earlier
• Veterans: competitors aged 45–55 years on the competition date

3. Equipment

Official KUDO protective equipment is mandatory for all Adult and U-18 competitors.

Each competitor must have:

• one white Gi;
• one blue Gi (if unavailable, the Chief Referee will make a decision on site).

Groin protectors (men), chest protectors (women), and mouthguards may be of any brand.
